Context Ochre AS is founded by the partners behind Context AS - Rolf & Katie (Kat) Hagen.

We founded Context November 2004 through our joint desire to change the way we think about and shape our environment. We still share that same drive to this day. November 2025, due to a necessary reorganisation of our company structure and a shift in focus, Context closed and Context Ochre was born.

Contact Kat

We first started working together when we were both students of architecture at Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh College of Art in Scotland during the 1990’s. We went on to win our first open international architecture competition just 18 months after graduating, ‘Building: Dwelling: Thinking - The modern House in Wood’. A few years later we founded Context AS and won several national and international competitions in our start up years, both in architecture and sustainable urban design. Context has since catalysed many influential and innovative reference projects, enabling us to markedly influence and impact the sustainable development of Norway’s building trade - a prominent position we maintain today.
